The end of the last episode shows us what became of each Chosen Child. Takeru now has a son (with a Tokomon as a Digimon partner), but his wife is never revealed. For Takeru, in his own [brief] words: "25 years have past and I've become a writer, sharing my childhood adventures in books." In the original Japanese dub, before the epilogue had begun, the 11 year old Takeru was narrating, just as he had when Adventure 02 began. His voice is soon joined and faded into one with a much more mature voice: we find out it had actually been Takeru narrating the entire Digimon Adventures Series, since the very first episode of Adventure 01.
